Tamo CrossWhen traveling the obvious choice is often to find a hotel. However in Morocco a very good choice is also a Riad, specifically in the old medina of Marrakech, there are numerous beautiful Riads, each a unique experience. A riad is a traditional Moroccan house with an interior garden or courtyard that usually has a pool or fountain called ‘Sahrîdj’ as I explained in one of my previous posts. Staying in a Riad means by the nature of their construction, that it’s an intimate space. Also the noise is accentuated by the courtyard layout, thus make sure that this is something that you are willing to adjust to. I personally find it the best exerience when traveling in a group, even privatising a whole Riad for yourself.
