The Mekong is the worlds 12th longest river and in Vietnam it forms the Mekong delta before running into the south chinese sea. It is surprisingly undeveloped for such a large river. The Mekong Delta is a vast maze of rivers, swamps, islands, home to floating markets, Khmer pagodas and villages surrounded by rice paddies. The main way of transportation are boats. The water is not dirty, but due to sediments that it carries with it, the color is mostly brownish
