Tamo CrossValencia is the third largest city in Spain, but somehow it seems quite happy to live under the radar of destinations like Madrid and Barcelona. For me it was a real surprise as the destination is not far away and has a lot to offer, but surprisingly was not on my list before. You can stroll the streets of the Old Town, go down to the seaside and enjoy the Mediterranean sea (even though the beaches are not the nicest), check out the City of Arts & Sciences (so futuristic) or eating a traditional paella (yes Paella was “invented” here). Anyways – definitely a yes if you are looking for a weekend getaway.
