Tamo CrossOne of the more curious places I stayed during my travel in Ecuador was the Hacienda SanAgustin de Callo. If you are longing for staying within ancient Inca walls, this is the place to go! The hacienda was built on the site of an Inca palace one of the two most important archaeological Inca sites in Ecuador. In the main house (Inca House) there are five rooms around a beautiful courtyard, all of them with fireplaces in bedrooms and bathrooms. There is also an Inca chapel and a stunning dining room with Inca walls that will surround you and make you wonder how they tailored those stones so precisely. The property is filled with Inca history and is a feast for the eyes. There are additional rooms in a building close by, which are however much less beautiful. ⠀
